DC Police Offer $10,000 Reward for Three Men on Scooters Suspected in a Southwest Shootout.

Washington, D.C. — The Metropolitan Police Department is appealing to the public for help identifying suspects in a July 4, 2025, shooting that occurred in Southwest D.C.

According to the department’s news release, officers from the MPD’s First District responded around 12:26 a.m. after gunfire was reported near the intersection of P Street and Carrollsburg Place. Surveillance footage shows suspects discharging their weapon into a vehicle that had entered the intersection. Both the vehicle and suspects quickly fled before police arrived at the scene.

Although no victim was immediately found at the scene, detectives later learned that a man with non‑life‑threatening gunshot wounds had sought medical care at a local hospital. The shooter’s damaged vehicle was recovered by investigators, who linked it to the incident.

MPD officials released surveillance images of the suspects, asking anyone who recognises them or has information about the incident to contact police discreetly by calling (202) 727‑9099 or texting tips to 5041.

The department is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to arrests and convictions in cases involving violent crimes in D.C.
