WASHINGTON — Three people were wounded in a shooting Monday night in Southeast Washington, and police were searching for a silver sedan seen in connection with the attack.
Metropolitan Police Department officers responded about 8:30 p.m. to the 2000 block of Savannah Terrace SE after reports of gunfire.
Officers found two men and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. All three were taken to hospitals for treatment, police said. Authorities did not immediately release their names or detailed information about the severity of their injuries.
Investigators issued a lookout for a silver sedan but had not announced an arrest early Tuesday. Police had also not publicly described a possible motive or the circumstances leading to the shooting.
This year, there have been four other assaults with deadly weapon in the same block, along with a reported robbery and sexual assault.
