WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump shared a photo of the White House Palm Room renovation that has just been completed.
“New lobby leading to Oval Office — Magnificent marble floor, compliments of President Donald J. Trump!” Trump said in a Truth social post.

The Palm Room, a long, light-filled foyer that connects the White House residence to the West Wing, serves as a daily passageway for the president as he moves between the private quarters and the Oval Office. It also opens to the Rose Garden and the West Wing colonnade, making it one of the most traveled and photographed spaces on the grounds. Until now, it had been a quiet corridor with modest furnishings and potted palms that gave the space its name.
Over the past year, Trump has overseen a series of upgrades, including a redecoration of the Oval Office and changes to the Rose Garden, and he has spoken often about paying for many of the improvements himself.
The Palm Room was frequently used by the White House Press Corps for access to the South Lawn and helicopter arrivals and departures, but since the renovation access to the media has been restricted. It is not known if they will be allowed to utilize this entrance in the future.
